Cardiff City start their 2017-18 campaign away, while their opening home fixture is against Aston Villa.

Manager Neil Warnock and his team travel to Burton Albion on Saturday, August 5, while Villa are at Cardiff City Stadium a week later.

That is the first of two home games in four days with Sheffield United coming to South Wales the following Tuesday.

The season’s first Severnside derby against Bristol City will take place at Ashton Gate on Saturday, November 4. The return is in February.

The Bluebirds will be at home to Fulham on Boxing Day, and will also finish the season on home soil when Reading are visitors on Sunday, May 6.
