Wrexham's Racecourse home.

Racecourse Frenzy Thanks To Dragons Title Charge

Wrexham are flexing their muscles when it comes to how many spectators they can attract to their Racecourse Stadium.

More than 8,000 fans were at their home clash with promotion rivals Salford City and those outside the away section  were ecstatic with a 5-1 win.

The Dragons were far and away the best supported Vanarama National League team on Boxing Day.

Now Wrexham turn to their home clash with another team chasing a promotion dream with Solihull Moors visiting North Wales on Saturday (Racecourse, 3pm).

Manager Graham Barrow’s team produced a five star performance and now take on Solihull in another crunch clash.

Moors have just one defeat in their last 10 National League matches and were narrowly knocked out in a replay against Blackpool in the Emirates FA Cup.

“There are big games to come and nobody has set any targets,” says Barrow.

“You have to win it for automatic promotion, but the top three guarantees you a home semi-final.

“The best thing about us is that we have been top, so it is nice to be where we are now and to keep in there.”

The Dragons are hoping for another bumper performance after their five-star showing against Salford, while Solihull will be looking to Nathan Blissett, the nephew of former England international Luther, to score goals.

Blissett scorned twice in Solihull’s 4-0 thumping of Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium.

Manager Tim Flowers, also a former England international, said: “As a team we were excellent. We had to bounce back from a defeat where we were below par and were right back on it.

“We were bright and I couldn’t be any more delighted.”

Ticket information: The Hays Travel Stand on Mold Road remains ticket only – although you can buy a ticket from the Mold Road Ticket Outlet before entering – we are, though, down to the wing blocks.

Tickets for all areas of the stadium are available from the ticket office located in the club shop, match day from 10am.

Don’t forget that buying online and printing your ticket at home is simple and more cost effective for club and supporter.

Solihull Moors supporters will be seated in the away area located at the bkoncepts upper, turnstiles 1-4 and can purchase online also if they wish.
