Cardiff Devils' white water experience. Can anybody recognise the two players under the water? Their team-mates certainly don't seem too concerned.

Cardiff Devils In The Rapids Before They Face Clan And The Penguins

Cardiff Devils players hit the rapids – and came out unscathed.

Their white water experience in Cardiff Bay was a major hit and forward Sean Bentivoglio said: “We had a blast.”

Elite League champions Devils have two home fixtures this weekend, taking on Scottish and German opposition.

Captain Jake Morissette and his team can win their first trophy of 2017-18 on Saturday when they take on holders Braehead Clan in the Aladdin Cup (7pm).

Devils will then take on leading German team Krefeld Penguins at Ice Arena Wales on Sunday (6pm).

The team took a day off from on-ice training to hit the water at Cardiff International White Water in Cardiff Bay and Bentivoglio said: “It was so much fun.

“We all had a blast and it was good to do something not hockey related to get to know the new guys.”

“We all said we have to come back and try everything else they have here.”

CIWW has a host of amazing things to experience including white water rafting, indoor surfing, a ropes course and more.

Devils players and staff split into teams and the champions were Joey Haddad, Gleason Fournier, Thomas Murdy, Ben Bowns and Paul Crowder.

Glasgow-based Braehead won the Aladdin Cup last season when their were only two teams competing and they defeated Nottingham Panthers.
