Cardiff Fire Looking For Perfect 10 By Hunting Down The Buffalo

Cardiff Fire are aiming to achieve a perfect 10 when they play Basingstoke Buffalo at Ice Arena Wales on Sunday (6pm)

Head coach Mark Cuddihy and his Fire players have opened their National League Division Two season with nine consecutive victories and a win against Basingstoke will take them into double figures.

Fire won the title last season, while they are aiming even higher this time with the League championship, cup and play-offs all trophies they believe they can win.

Former Devils players including Jason Stone, Phil Manny, Sam Smith and goaltender Joe Myers are all on the Fire roster, while Slovakian forward Robert Sedlak and Tamas Elias, who was born in Hungary, are among other key players in the Fire line-up,

Sunday’s clash with Basingstoke is Fire’s first NIHL fixture of 2017 and their second will be against London Haringey Racers, also at the IAW, on Saturday, January 21.

Cardiff Fire play all of their matches at Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff Bay, the rink which is also home to Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils.

Tickets are available on the door before face-off.
