The Six Nations is on the horizon. Robin Davey says the evidence of all the autumn Tests is that Wales face three games against in-form teams who could de-rail Warren Gatland’s campaign even before it has got moving. Wales' unimpressive autumn series is over and though there's the small matter of Europe and Guinness Pro14 derby clashes to come first, attention will rapidly turn to what promises to be a seismic opening Six Nations clash against Scotland. Make a date for February 3, for the outcome of that clash between the Celtic rivals at the Principality Stadium will have a major effect on this year's tournament.
Paul Clement insists he does not fear the sack should Swansea City fail to turn the corner against West Brom on Saturday. The Swans boss has revealed he spoke with co-owner Steve Kaplan for 90 minutes on Wednesday night – a telephone conversation he says he found reassuring, rather than left him feeling he was one defeat away from dismissal. After last weekend's defeat at Stoke - which sent Swansea to the bottom of the Premier League - Clement cut a despondent figure with his tone and body language suggesting he was running out of faith.

Wales Under 20 have been drawn in the same pool as reigning champions New Zealand, Australia and Japan for the 2018 Junior World Championships. The five match days will take place on 30 May, 3 June, 7 June, 12 June and 17 June.
The British and Irish Cup could be the most unloved tournament in rugby history, but Geraint Powell insists it doesn’t have to be this way. But, he argues, it requires a change of outlook as well as of the participating teams. “Events, dear boy. Events.” Harold MacMillan memorably described the greatest difficulty with his job as Prime Minister as the ever present risk of being blown off course.
