Chaz Davies wants to break his Donington Park duck when he races in front of his home fans this weekend.
The Knighton-born rider has racked up 29 wins in his 162-race World Superbikes career but has yet to taste success on the Leicestershire track.
Davies is keen to put that right on the track which hosted the first race in the series 30 years ago as he looks to hit back in the title battle.
The aruba.it Racing Ducati rider goes into the double header 47 points behind reigning three-time champ Jonathan Rea in the standings.
The 31-year-old’s best finish at Donington is third though he did win at the track in World Supersport.
Davies said: ”Donington is a track I really enjoy and, being from the UK, the atmosphere there is awesome and the home crowd support is always great.
“My first time out there was back in 1999 and I had some great results with two-strokes, but not yet with Superbike unfortunately.
“But, we’ve made improvements every year and it seems that we have been getting closer to our main rivals around there, so the goal is to find the next step and hopefully we’ll have some results to cap off the weekend nicely.”
