Cymru Manager Bodin Takes On Moldovan Challenge

Paul Bodin’s Cymru under-21 team are in Moldova for their latest Uefa under-21 qualifying match.

Manager Bodin has a 20-man squad with him for Friday’s fixture at the District Sports Complex, Orhei.

It will be a third Uefa qualifier for Wales following a 1-0 win against Belgium plus a 5-1 loss against Germany and their first away match.

Bodin has been able to call in Ben Woodburn and Dylan Levitt, who have been a regular part of Ryan Giggs’ senior squad during the last 12 months. 

This is the first time Woodburn and Levitt have been involved in the under-21 squad.

Cymru have recalled 16 players from September’s group including captain Regan Poole and midfield player Brennan Johnson, who scored the winning goal against Belgium on his debut.

Nathan Broadhead returns to the squad after missing last month’s matches due to injury and Jack Vale will be part of his first under-21 squad after  representing Cymru in the under-19 Euro elite round in March.
