Wilfried Bony has said he wants to use Swansea City to continue his development and has promised fans at the Liberty Stadium there is more to come.
The 28-year-old completed his return to the club from Manchester City in a deal worth £12m on deadline day, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal, with an option for a third.
The move was completed on Thursday night as fellow striker Fernando Llorente left the Swans to make a £15m switch to Tottenham.
Bony scored 34 goals in 70 appearances during his first spell at the club, but failed to establish himself as first choice at City and spent last season on loan at Stoke.
“I am still at school. I always want to improve, and I have a lot to show. I have a very good feeling, especially for myself, the fans and my family,” Bony told the club’s official website.
“I need to be on the pitch playing, so when I heard Swansea wanted me back I was very excited. I don’t have a target to achieve, I just want to take it match by match – I want the best for the team first, and then you will see the rest.”
Bony – who will wear the number two shirt at Swansea – struggled to make an impact during his time at the Etihad Stadium scoring just 11 goals in 46 appearances for the club.

“It’s a special number for me,” he said. “It’s the second time I am at the club, hence I wanted to wear number two, and I want to achieve more for the team.”
He did not play at all under current City manager Pep Guardiola having spent last season at Stoke, where he scored just twice in 11 appearances.
But he will hope to rediscover his form at the Liberty Stadium, where he made his reputation by averaging a goal every other game to become a hugely popular player with fans.
Earlier on Thursday, the Swans completed the loan signing of Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches.
The midfielder joined for the season in a move which reunites him with Paul Clement, who worked with Sanches in Germany as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant before Clement took over as Swans boss at the start of the year.
Sanches cost Bayern £27.5m in the wake of Portugal’s victory at Euro 2016, where he was named young player of the tournament.

Shortly after the deal was sealed Swansea revealed the Premier League had rejected a chosen shirt number for their new man, with the Swans’ Twitter post stating an application for No 85 was turned down because “squad numbers must be consecutive and close to the current highest number,” and Sanches will instead wear the No 35.
The 20-year-old has started just six Bundesliga games and was made available for loan earlier this summer.
Clement said he had secured “one of Europe’s elite young talents”, adding: “This move to Swansea and the Premier League will provide him with a real positive development experience.
“As a player he is a dynamic, powerful central midfielder who I believe has all the attributes to suit the Premier League.”
Clement’s old Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “We’re delighted we’ve been able to conclude the loan deal with Swansea City. Our goal was for Renato to gain regular match practice at club level in a strong league such as the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Swans striker Oli McBurnie signed for Barnsley on a season-long loan.
The Scotland U21 international was allowed to leave with the Swans keen for him to play regular football.
McBurnie arrived at the Liberty Stadium from Bradford City in the summer of 2015.
