WPL Clubs Chase Former Leicester City Starlet Hassall

Former Leicester City starlet is Aaron Hassall being chased by Welsh Premier League sides as the youngster is linked with a return back to the Welsh top-flight.

Hassall broke through into Andy Preece’s Airbus UK first-team when he was just 16-years old before Leicester City paid a five-figure transfer fee to secure his signature.

Hassall, now 19, struggled the injuries during his two-years at the King Power Stadium and returned to the Welsh system joining Denbigh Town last season.

With a full campaign under his belt at the Huws Gray Alliance outfit, Hassall is now attracting the attention of a host of clubs from both sides of the border as he looks to fulfill his potential.

Three unnamed WPL teams, along with clubs in the National League North, are believed to have a firm interest in the youngster.

Hassall became one of the Welsh Premier’ League’s youngest-ever goalscorers when he scored his debut senior goal for Airbus against Carmarthen Town in 2014 and then became one of the youngest-ever to appear in Europe, making a 30-minute debut in the Wingmakers’ Europa League tie at Haugesund in Norway the following summer which sparked interest from a number of Premier League and Football League clubs.
