Russell Slade has revealed that Cardiff City are already in talks with Feyenoord to sign Lex Immers.
The darts-mad Dutchman has been a big hit since joining on loan in January with five goals in 11 starts.
Bluebirds boss Russell Slade has been full of praise of the 29-year-old and is keen to sort out a deal when Cardiff emerge from their transfer embargo.
Slade, 55, said: “There’s strong dialogue between the relevant parties when it comes to Lex.
“He has done well here. The way he’s adapted, he wants to remain here and we are looking at that and hoping to make progress.
“It would be one for the summer, we are confident of doing something.
Lex has been terrific. He’s a real professional. He brings immense energy and gets goals at critical times.
“He’s fitted right in. He’s learned and that’s impressed me in training and games. He’s a good fit, to move that forward would be perfect.”
