Cardiff City’s Mark Harris Hopes His Side Can Begin Their Climb Up The Table Against QPR On Wednesday

By Tom Prosser

Cardiff City’s Mark Harris says his side “Shouldn’t be down the bottom end of the table” as the Bluebirds look to build on their fightback against Stoke by ending their nine-game winless run against QPR on Wednesday.

“Coming back from three-nil down is a much better feeling,” explains Harris.

“Obviously, I’m disappointed with the offside goal at the end. That would’ve topped it off.

“But from three-nil down, you take a point there, really.

“At 3-0, everyone would’ve written us off or thought it would get worse. You can tell the spirit we have though.

“It showed then in the last forty minutes. We got the first goal and kept pressing. We kept running at them and kept on trying to make chances and the second and third came.

“We got the ball in the net again to make it four, but it was slightly offside. Credit to the lads. None of us will get our heads down. We’ll keep going.

“You’ve seen all the fans at Stoke. 900+ of them. We’ll never give up for them. No chance.”

Harris and his teammates now face back-to-back home games against QPR and Huddersfield respectively and the Welsh international hopes the Bluebirds can begin their climb up the table by picking up points in their upcoming matches.

“We know ourselves that it hasn’t been good enough recently for whatever reason,” admits Harris.

“We just have to take this as a positive and go into the next game and start as we finished in Stoke.

“We should be higher up the table. Of course we should. You could see in the last forty minutes today that we shouldn’t be down there with the spirit we’ve got.

“We know ourselves where we are at the minute. We’ll take it game-by-game, improve the performances, score more goals and look to move on up the table, starting Wednesday.”
