Charlotte Carey made a winning start at the Spain Masters in Madrid.
The 24-year-old beat Spain’s Maria Xiao in her Group B match.
Xiao is ranked 73 in the world but suffered defeat as world No 152 Carey continued her impressive return with a 13-11, 11-7, 11-8 win.
The Ebbw Vale player triumphed at the Vic International last month as the sport returned following the COVID-19 suspension.

Spain-based Carey and her fellow competitors are competing in a bubble event at a hotel in Madrid.
Six-time Welsh champ Carey had been based in Sweden for the past few years but moved to Spain during the lockdown.
