Cymru Premier Fixtures Announced: Nomads To Begin Title Defence At Cefn Druids On Fri 13 Aug

The opening weekend of the 2021/22 JD Cymru Premier season will see back-to-back champions Connah’s Quay begin their title defence away to Cefn Druids on Friday 13 August.

Last season’s runners-up The New Saints will also be in action on the opening night, with Anthony Limbrick’s side visiting play-off winners Newtown at Latham Park.

The remaining eight Cymru Premier clubs kick-off their respective campaigns the following day, with Aberystwyth taking on Barry Town, Bala Town hosting Penybont, Caernarfon facing Haverfordwest, Cardiff Met playing Flint Town United.

Connah’s Quay and The New Saints are once again expected to be lead the way at the top of the table. The title rivals will clash for the first time at the Deeside Stadium on Saturday 9 October and again on Saturday 22 January at Park Hall.

On Boxing Day, Aberystwyth host Haverfordwest, Bala Town will play Caernarfon Town, Flint Town face Connah’s Quay, Newtown take on Cardiff Met, Penybont entertain Barry Town and The New Saints will welcome Cefn Druids, with the fixtures being reversed of the New Year’s period.

Phase 1 of the season will be completed on Saturday 12 February.
