Goals Ace Rhys Joins MK Dons Until January

Two Bluebirds players have gone put on loan – and two more are set to follow them out of Cardiff City Stadium over the next week.

Midfield player Stuart O’Keefe has signed for Plymouth Argyle, while Rhys Healey, who has netted 11 goals in pre-season and under-23 fixtures, has joined MK Dons.

Both have agreed loan deals until January and Warnock is still keen for Lee Tomlin and Anthony Pilkington to find new clubs.

O’Keefe, Tomlin and Pilkington do not figure in Warnock’s future plans, while 23-year-old Healey has joined MK Dons to gain experience.

“Rhys is signing for MK Dons today, even though I know we had offers from League One clubs,” said Warnock.

“I don’t want him to go there and be on the bench. He needs to play games. You can’t force managers to play them, but I think Paul Tisdale is the ideal manager to look after your lad.”

Cardiff City have agreed a deal to sign The New Saints defender Ryan Pryce after beating off interest from a number of other clubs.

Right-back Pryce, 21, has impressed during his trial with the Bluebirds’ under-23 squad. He joined Welsh Premier League TNS on a two-year scholarship after he was released by Shrewsbury Town at the age of 15.

The young Bluebirds play at Sheffield Wednesday on Bank Holiday Monday (2pm), while their next under-23 development home fixture is against Leeds United at Cardiff International Sports Stadium (2pm).
