The South Wales Warriors wasted no time in securing the victory necessary to seal an undefeated campaign in their final fixture of the regular season in Redruth.

A first quarter onslaught saw the visitors run up 30 points in the opening 15 minutes to put any hopes of an upset from the Sharks, who shipped 62 points without reply in the first fixture between the sides, out of mind.

The real challenge for the Warriors was to ensure they kept a clean sheet to maintain their number one ranking and secure homefield advantage for the play-offs – and that was exactly what the defence did through four quarters.

The scoreboard remained relatively untroubled following the Warriors blistering start with the only further score added in the third quarter. The final whistle ensured the Warriors have a perfect return of eight wins from eight games in their first season back in the third tier of British American Football.

Knockout play-off football starts this coming Sunday, August 12 when the Warriors will welcome a familiar foe to their home at Llanharan RFC’s Dairy Field (2.30pm).

South West divisional rivals the Worcestershire Black Knights have taken the final place in the Southern Conference play-offs and are rewarded with a first round game against the Warriors who posted back to back 48-0 victories over them in the regular season.
