Treble Time For Julian In Port’s Seven-Goal Romp

Julian Jenkins fast-tracked CPD Porthmadog to a Huws Gray Alliance victory by scoring a hat-trick in 15 second half minutes.

Port fired seven goals against Llandudno Junction for the second time this season with Ifan Emlyn (10 mins), Gareth Jones Evans (70). Sion Bradley (89) and a first half own goal completing the tally.

Jenkins led the goals charge, while midfield player Emlyn turned in a man of the match performance with his prompting from midfield.

He also netted a cracking goal when he shot from 20 yards and which hit the net just inside the far post and left ‘keeper Keighan Jones stranded on his line.

Junction fought hard, fell two goals behind in the opening quarter of an hour and were then hit by five goals in the last 25 minutes.

Bradley’s goal made him the fourth Port player to reach 10 goals for the season, while Williams’ hat-trick took him to 12 goals.

Manager Craig Papirnyk gave under-18 player Math Roberts his debut and showed he has the talent and confidence to create an impression.

Julian Jenkins scored a hat-trick for Porthmadog.

Porthmadog under-18 coach Sion Eirian tweeted: “Days like today make my job worthwhile! This lad has worked so hard since joining the academy! Delighted for him!”

Alliance leaders Caernarfon Town drew 1-1 at Holyhead Hotspur thanks to a late Nathan Craig Equaliser.

The Canaries suffered their only league defeat of the season so far against the Harbourmen, but made the short trip to the New Oval on the back of a 13-match unbeaten run.

A strong wind swirled around the ground and the hosts played a direct style that utilised fast striker Mel McGinness.

Caernarfon looked solid at the back, though, and dealt with manager Campbell Harrison’s tactics, although goalkeeper Alex Ramsay had to be sharp off his line on more than one occasion early on.

The Cofis settled into a familiar pattern and became the more dominant force with Danny Brookwell and Gareth Evans the creative influence.

The dangerous McGinness was on target after 64 minutes when he collected a pass from Tomos Clarke before finding the top left hand corner of the net with a superlative finish from 20 yards.

Craig thought he had equalised in the 75th minute when his free-kick went through a crowded penalty area and into the net, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Town’s captain succeeded in earning his team a point when, two minutes from time, his corner kick curled into the top far corner.

Airbus Broughton won 4-0 against FC Queens Park. That result was sweet revenge for the Wingmakers, who had lost by the same scoreline against Park earlier this season.

It was cold and windy at Hollingsworth Group Stadium and Airbus goalkeeper Andy Coughlin had little to do.

The deadlock was broken on 22 minutes by a 30-yard Wes Baynes piledriver that flew into the top corner.

Seven minutes before half-time a move initiated by Bailey Jackson ended with Luke Busumbru feeding Damase Kiwanda, who fired home from 12 yards to spark a somersault celebration.

Leo Riley made it three early in the second half and when Busumbru fired past goalkeeper Richard Chowdry to complete the win.

There were excellent contributions from the Under-19 with Oli Lanceley, George Peers and Blake Robinson all coming off the bench in the second half as Airbus enter the New Year on a winning note.

Rhyl are third after a 3-1 home victory against Holywell Town. Alex Titchiner opened the scoring for Rhyl three minutes into the second half and player-manager Mark Connolly doubled their advantage before a Sam Jones goal brought Holywell back into the game at 2-1.

Titchener added his second after 88 minutes to clinch the points for Rhyl.

Penrhyncoch and Guilsfield shared drew 1-1. Liam Doherty gave Penrhyn an early lead, while Andy Ford equalised before half-time.
