Welsh Weightlifting has selected a team of 19 athletes to compete in the Celtic Nations Championships in Dublin on Saturday, 27 October.

There are three age categories in the event with male and female lifters joining forces at U17, U20 and Senior levels.

There are no body weight categories, all Sinclair points are added together to create the team scores and the country with the highest points wins.

Meanwhile, one of the showpiece weightlifting events of the year in Wales, the Welsh Open, will take place at the Sport Wales National Centre on 13-14 October.

Under 17s: Leah Timms, Harvey Morris, Catrin Jones, Daniel Thomas, Macy John, Liam Davies, Leon Finnegan

Under 20s: Fflur Owen, Theo Morris, Bethan Roberts, Ben Foggo, Niamh Roach, Sam Roberts

Seniors: Daisy Melhuish, Rhodri Beynon, Lauren Burley, James Hart, Anita Madan, Louis Thomas
