Cardiff Bay Run Back On Calendar With Stunning New Course

One of Wales’ most popular running events is returning for 2017 – bigger and better than ever!

The new Cardiff Bay Run, previously known as the Cardiff Bay 5 Mile will take place on Sunday 2nd April 2017 with a stunning new 10k course around Cardiff’s historic Bay.

The flat and fast course will give elite and club athletes the opportunity to race for a personal best, but is also suitable for those simply looking to keep fit, raise money for charity or take on the challenge of their first event.

The event will be organised by Run4Wales, the team behind the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon.

The Cardiff Bay Run will start and finish in Roald Dahl Plass and take in Mermaid Quay, Atlantic Wharf, the Pierhead Building, Senedd, Porth Teigr, Norwegian Church and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

The 2k Family Fun Run will kick off the morning’s proceedings before the main race, with individual or family tickets for 4 people available. Every runner will receive a commemorative medal!

Registration is now open, priced at just £22 for General Entry or £20 for members of an Affiliated Running Club. Entry includes a technical race t-shirt and unique finisher’s medal.

Runners already signed up to the 2017 Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon looking to use the 10k Cardiff Bay Run as part of their training can take advantage of a £19 entrant offer.

Your Cardiff Half registration ID (found on your confirmation email) must be entered upon entry to validate your discount.
