Jamie Donaldson will begin his final round of the US Masters eight shots off the lead held by Jordan Spieth.
Welshman Donaldson is tied for 23rd place at five over par after shooting a 75 in his third round at Augusta on Saturday.
The 40-year-old – who has a best finish at the tournament of tied for 14th two years ago – is paired with Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick for his final round on Sunday and will tee-off at 5.35pm.
Donaldson struck an eagle three at the par five second hole, but double bogeys at the seventh and 14th eventually cost him.
Rory McIlroy believes he still has a chance to win after defending champion Spieth’s late stumble threw the tournament wide open.
American Spieth dropped three shots on the last two holes to finish on three under, just a shot ahead of compatriot Smylie Kaufman, with McIlroy on two over.
“I feel like I can go out tomorrow and just freewheel a little bit,” said McIlroy.
“I was a little tentative out there. I was trying to make pars because pars are good. But at the same time, you still need to try and play your natural game and my natural game is to be quite aggressive and to go at pins.
“I just need to go out there tomorrow and be aggressive. I’ve got nothing to lose. Today was my bad day and hopefully I can go out there and make up for the lack of birdies today and make double the amount tomorrow.
“I’m feeling a little better standing here five behind than I was on the 17th tee. So I have to take some heart from that and regroup and come back and be positive tomorrow.”
