Ian Culverhouse and his league leading Linnets are on their way to South Wales.
Former Spurs and Norwich City defender Culverhouse and his King’s Lynn team are Southern League Premier Division leaders and they play Merthyr Town away on Saturday (3pm).
Norfolk-based Lynn make the 480-miles round trip to Merthyr Tydfil by coach on the day of the game and Culverhouse says: “We expect a tough fixture at Merthyr and their recent problems off the pitch will have further galvanised them on the pitch even more.
“Some players who left them a few weeks back have now returned which will strengthen them further. We will enjoy the playing surface because we like to get the ball down and play. It should be a good contest.”
King’s Lynn have not played for a fortnight with matches against Gosport Borough and Slough Town postponed because of the weather.
The match at Loadlok Community Stadium in Merthyr, which has a 3G surface, is certain to go ahead and Culverhouse said: “It has been a frustrating spell. The games were flowing nicely, but then the weather turned and we lost some fixtures.
“People have said to me it’s a bit of a trip being so close to Christmas, but I would much prefer going on a Saturday as opposed to a wet night in January.
“We travel on the day on a comfortable coach, the lads have trained well. Maybe the little break has freshened some of the lads up a little bit and allowed some knocks and bruises to heal.”
Lynn will be without two regular first team players, Ryan Fryatt and Michael Clunan.
Merthyr host a supporters Christmas raffle with many prizes on offer.
Tickets will be on sale around the ground from 1pm on Saturday at £1 and the draw will take place in Webley’s at 6pm after home match against King’s Lynn Town.
Prizes include drinks, food, ladies gifts, books, football kit and T-shirts plus tickets to the Manchester United v Derby County FA Cup tie.

The Martyrs have half season tickets now on sale. They are priced at (£87.50 for adults, £75 seniors).
A half season ticket entitles fans to a match ticket to the Hereford match.
