Wales Ready To Start TikTok Six Nations With A Bang Against Ireland On Saturday

Wales kick off the 2023 TikTok Women’s Six Nations on Saturday and here is where you can watch all the weekend’s action in the UK and Ireland.

Wales welcome Ireland in the first game of the Championship, with the hosts keen to build on their third-place finish last year.

Holders England then take on Scotland at a sold-out Kingston Park, no fear if you are not one of the lucky ones with a ticket, the match is live on TV and radio.

Round 1 wraps up with neighbours Italy and France renewing their fiery rivalry in Parma and providing a first opportunity to see what the teams look like under their new head coaches.

Here are all the details for where to watch and listen to every match in Round 1 of the TikTok Women’s Six Nations in the UK and Ireland.

Wales v Ireland
Time: 2:15pm
Date: Saturday 25 March

Location: Cardiff Arms Park, Cardiff

 

Just as they did last year, Wales and Ireland square off in Round 1, but this time Wales have the home advantage.

Ioan Cunningham’s side overturned a 14-5 deficit at half-time to defeat Ireland 27-19 at the RDS Arena, thanks to a brace from Donna Rose.

The prop is not in the Wales squad having been ruled out with injury and are under a new full-time captain in Hannah Jones.

She will lead her side out live on BBC One Wales and BBC iPlayer with coverage getting underway at 2pm.

There will be live radio coverage on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra also starting at 2pm, with Radio Wales Sport also covering the match, their coverage beginning at 13:30pm
In Ireland, TV coverage begins at 1:30pm on RTÉ 2, with Saturday Sport on RTÉ Radio 1 providing radio coverage.

 

England v Scotland
Time: 4:45pm
Date: Saturday 25 March

Location: Kingston Park, Newcastle

Holders England face the Auld Enemy Scotland in Newcastle in the second game on Saturday and a bumper crowd is expected.

They will hope to cheer England to a 20th successive victory in the Women’s Six Nations as they look to prove that their World Cup final defeat is well and truly behind them.For Scotland, it is a chance to see how much impact their new full-time contracts have had on Bryan Easson’s squad.

Viewers in the UK can watch live on BBC Two from 4:15pm, with radio coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live starting at the same time.

In Ireland, the game is live on Virgin Media Two, with coverage beginning at 4:30pm.

 

Italy v France
Time: 4pm local time
Date: Sunday 26 March

Location: Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi, Parma

 

The weekend rounds out on the continent as Italy take on France.

The two met four times last year with France winning three games, including in the TikTok Women’s Six Nations, but Italy will remember fondly their World Cup warm-up win.

Claudio Raineri is in charge of Italy having taken over from long-serving coach Andrea di Giandomenico, while former France captain and three-time Six Nations winner Gaëlle Mignot and David Ortiz will guide Les Bleues in search of a first title since 2018.

Viewers in the UK will be able to watch live on BBC Red Button One and BBC iPlayer at 2:50pm.
