Charlotte Carey has one more crack at qualifying for the singles at the Tokyo Olympics.
The Welsh No 1 produced a battling display at the qualifying tournament in Qatar over the weekend.
Carey, seeded 30, opened her campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Kazakhstan’s Zauresh Akasheva (11-6, 11-8, 11-7, 11-2) in the round of 16.

But in the quarter-finals, Carey lost out 4-2 in a hard-fought match against Chile’s No 14 seed Paulina Vega (11-7, 8-11, 2-11, 6-11, 11-9, 10-12).
Four places had been up for grabs in Doha for the women for Tokyo.
Spain-based Carey will have a final chance of making the Games at the European qualifying tournament in Odivelas, Portugal, on 21-25 April.
